Halloween Parade

Please register by October 11 to avoid a late fee.

ENTRY FEE: There is no entry fee for Chamber members and school groups. There is a $30 entry fee for non-chamber members. A late fee of $30 is assessed TO ALL ENTRANTS if registered after October 11.

  1. All entries are eligible for awards and encouraged to support the Halloween theme with costuming and decorations.
  2. The parade will leave the fairgrounds, travel east on Auglaize Street through downtown and disassemble at Park Street. The route is 1.2 miles.
  3. Group leaders: It is vital that you let every participant and/or parent-guardian know where your unit will be located in the line-up area at the fairgrounds. This information will be in your confirmation email.
  4. Line-up for the parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. Each unit must be in place by 6:00 p.m.
  5. The parade will leave from the Auglaize County Fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m.
  6. When dropping participants off, please enter the fairgrounds at the back gate on Dearbaugh Street.
  7. Large groups using semi-trucks/trailers will assemble in the gravel parking lot on the north side of the Auglaize County Educational Service Center. This location has been selected to make it easier for the large groups to assemble.
  8. Participants are encouraged to car pool to reduce the congestion at the fairgrounds.
  9. No items may be thrown from float or a vehicle. Walkers may pass out candy and literature along the
    parade route. This is for the safety of everyone involved.
  10. Walkers must be able to maintain a good pace to avoid gaps.
  11. Reckless or dangerous driving will not be tolerated.
  12. No participant can possess or be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or illegal substances. Smoking is not allowed at any time. Bottled water and soda cans are permitted. No glass containers are allowed.
