2022 Annual Awards Nominations
At the end of each year the Chamber brings together the community to celebrate the year and its accomplishments. Nominate individuals and organizations who made this year great.
Categories:
Citizen of the Year
Presented to the nominee who has shown a dedicated interest in the community through participation and leadership. This person will have given unselfishly of his or her time as a volunteer to improve the quality of life in Wapakoneta. Considered a role model for the citizens of Wapakoneta, this individual supports the mission of business growth and community support of the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce.
Ambassador of the Year
Presented to the individual or group who has represented Wapakoneta in a positive manner to the world. The nominee will have promoted a positive image of our community through vocal contact and actions to people outside Wapakoneta.
Volunteer of the Year
Presented to the nominee who has shown an unselfish donation of ideas, creativity, time and energy to a particular cause, group organization or project during the past year.
Educator of the Year
Presented to an educator who has shown an overall dedication to service and excellence in the teaching profession. Nominees will show strong community involvement in and be a promoter of Wapakoneta, display a desire to go beyond expected requirements, and have an outstanding rapport with students.
Nonprofit Organization of the Year
Presented to the non profit or not-for-profit organization which has shown dedication to improving the quality of life in the community. This could be demonstrated through a project, service, or sponsorship that has had a positive impact on the community during the past year.
Emerging Business of the Year
Presented to a Chamber of Commerce member business that has started within the last five years that is showing success while showing a significant role in driving Wapakoneta's business community and economic growth. The nominated business is working towards the overall improvement of Wapakoneta, the betterment of its employees, the advancement of the business climate, encourages involvement in charitable causes and enhancement of the community's quality of life.
Small Business of the Year
Presented to a Chamber of Commerce member business with fewer than 25 employees for its significant role in driving Wapakoneta's business community and economic growth. The nominated business is working towards the overall improvement of Wapakoneta, the betterment of its employees, and the advancements of the business climate, and encourages involvement in charitable causes and enhancement of the community's quality of life.
Large Business of the Year
Presented to a Chamber of Commerce member business with 25 or more employees for its significant role in driving Wapakoneta's business community and economic growth. The nominated business is working towards the overall improvement of Wapakoneta, the betterment of its employees, and the advancements of the business climate, and encourages involvement in charitable causes and enhancement of the community's quality of life.
